What is Picmori?
Picmori is a free photo cleaner app for iPhone and Android. You review photos one by one — swipe left to delete, swipe right to keep — and it automatically finds duplicates, blurry photos, screenshots, and large videos. All analysis happens on your device; photos are never uploaded.
Is Picmori free?
Yes. Picmori is free to download and use, with a daily deletion limit on the free tier. No account or sign-up is required. An optional Premium subscription adds:
- Unlimited deletions
- No ads
Does Picmori upload my photos to a server?
No. All photo analysis — duplicate detection, blur detection, screenshot search — runs entirely on your device, and your photos are never uploaded, stored, or shared with any server. Picmori does use anonymized analytics and crash reporting to improve the app; these never receive your photos and can be turned off in Settings. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does Picmori collect any data or use tracking?
Your photos never leave your device — they are never uploaded, stored, or shared. To improve the app, Picmori uses anonymized analytics (Firebase Analytics and Mixpanel), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and install attribution (Tenjin); RevenueCat manages subscriptions. None of these ever receive your photos. You can turn analytics and crash reporting off anytime in Settings → Data Management → Analytics & Crash Reports. On iOS, attribution runs only if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
How does Picmori find duplicate photos?
Picmori uses perceptual hashing: it computes a compact visual fingerprint of every photo on-device and compares fingerprints to find both exact copies and near-duplicates (like burst shots or repeated takes). You review each group side-by-side and keep only the best shot.
How do I delete duplicate photos on iPhone?
- Install Picmori and grant photo access.
- Open the duplicates scan.
- Review each duplicate group side-by-side and keep the best shot.
- Delete the rest — they go to Recently Deleted, recoverable for about 30 days.
iOS Photos also has a built-in Duplicates album (Albums → Duplicates) that merges exact copies — see our full cleaning guide for both methods.
Can Picmori find blurry photos and screenshots?
Yes. The Clutter Scanner automatically finds blurry photos, screenshots, and oversized videos, so you can review and delete them in batches.
Which platforms does Picmori support?
- iPhone / iPad: iOS 16.0 or later — App Store
- Android: Android 7.0 or later — Google Play
Are photos deleted with Picmori recoverable?
Yes. Picmori deletes through the system photo library, so photos go to Recently Deleted on iOS or the Trash on Android, where they stay for around 30 days before being permanently removed. You can restore them from there at any time during that window.
Will deleting photos in Picmori also remove them from iCloud or Google Photos?
If cloud sync is on, yes — deleting a photo from your library also deletes it from iCloud Photos or Google Photos, because the cloud mirrors your library. The photo remains recoverable from Recently Deleted / Trash for about 30 days.
How much storage can I free up?
It depends on your library. Duplicates, screenshots, and old videos are typically the biggest space wasters; videos in particular can take hundreds of megabytes each. Picmori shows exactly how much space each cleaning session freed.
Does Picmori require an account?
No. Picmori works without any account, sign-up, or email. Install it, grant photo access, and start cleaning.
Does Picmori work offline?
Yes. All scanning and cleaning runs on-device, so the core features work without an internet connection.
How is Picmori different from the built-in iOS duplicate finder?
The iOS Photos Duplicates album only merges exact or nearly identical copies. Picmori additionally:
- Groups visually similar shots (bursts, retakes) — not just exact copies
- Finds blurry photos, screenshots, and large videos
- Adds a fast swipe-based review flow with streaks and stats
- Works on Android too

What languages does Picmori support?
Picmori is available in 11 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, and Chinese.
