Free photo cleaners with no daily limit
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Almost every photo cleaner app is free to download. The difference is in what the free version lets you do: some apps cap how many photos you can delete each day, some show ads, some need a paid plan before they delete anything, and some are a free trial that ends after a few days.
We read the App Store and Google Play pages of 11 apps on October 4, 2026 (US store) and wrote down what each page says about its free version. Prices are left out: they change by country, so check them on the store page.

No ads and no daily limit
Picmori turns cleaning into a pixel-art adventure: a map of 10 worlds where every chapter is a level of 25 photos built from your own gallery. You swipe left to delete and right to keep, and nothing is deleted until you confirm at the end of the session. There is no daily limit on sessions or deleted photos. After each chapter on the map there is a short pause before the next one, from 1 to 30 minutes; in free mode outside the map you can keep going without waiting. Premium removes the pauses and opens the Premium points on the map, which hand out extra review modes. Exact copies and burst shots arrive as one group, and photos never leave the phone.
PixelPrune is a photo cleaner for Android. Its page says it has no ads, no in-app purchases and no data collection, so there is no paid version at all.
Files by Google is Google's free file manager for Android. Its cleaning side finds duplicate files and old photos from chat apps, with no ads and nothing to buy.
Photo Monster is a photo cleaner game for iPhone. Its page says it has no ads and needs no account, and it lists no free limit; an optional purchase, Photo Monster MAX, is available.
A daily cap or a paid plan to delete
Wipix lets free users delete up to 50 photos a day, and keeping is always unlimited. Wipix Premium removes the cap. Its store pages list no ads.
Unroller lets you swipe and sort for free, but deleting photos needs Unroller Pro.
Free with ads
Swipewipe, Swipelit and Tidy carry the Contains ads label on Google Play, and the App Store lists advertising for Swipewipe, Slidebox and Tidy. Their store pages list no daily limit in numbers. Tidy Gold removes all ads, and Slidebox sells a one-time purchase that unlocks the full version.
A trial rather than a free version
CleanMy®Phone describes a free trial with full access for three days, followed by a yearly subscription. Its page does not say what stays free after the trial.
How to check a free version yourself
- Ads: Google Play shows Contains ads under the app name, and the App Store lists Advertising next to the age rating.
- Limits: look for numbers in the description, such as photos a day, and for words like trial or Pro next to deleting.
- What paying adds: the In-App Purchases list on the App Store and the description on Google Play name the plans.
